guitar isn't usually an instrument where you play a melody, other than a solo.

In most songs, the singer is singing the melody, and most of the song you are strumming the chords. Now, you might be playing a riff instead of strumming(whole lotta love) or you might be picking a chord in the rhythm part(sound of silence). Lots to learn.

I taught myself to play as I am a drummer and just guys lots of questions. I am a great drummer and just an ok guitar player though. 80 is probably really good. I play on all of these songs linked. No idea how this got on youtube, as I didn't put it there, but i play drums, guitar and bass on all of these.
